As captain of the LA Grizzlies, Ryan ‘Ry’ Bennett’s life is all about hockey and pushing himself to the limit. A future in the major leagues would fulfill his life-long dream, but at 32, it seems like a far-off goal, especially as he watches younger, more promising players earn their chance.
Then he skates into Ry’s life.
Twenty-two year-old Alexander ‘Xander’ Harrison, a ray of sunshine, turns Ry’s world upside down. From their first clash at training camp to the late-night conversations that reveal the man beneath the surface, Ry finds himself drawn to Xander in ways he can't explain. Xander’s everything Ry’s not - carefree, optimistic, and unapologetically himself.
Ry never thought he'd find love, especially with a man. But Xander shows him that love doesn't care about expectations or pasts.
It just is.
When a league shake-up threatens to tear them apart, Ry knows he can't let go without a fight. Because in the end, love isn't about the games we play. It's about the person we choose to stand with, no matter what.
What to expect: dual first person pov, slow burn, age gap, double queer awakening, first times, grumpy/sunshine, opposites attract, demi rep, and a guaranteed HEA.
The Games We Play is a multi-author minor league hockey romance series! All titles run concurrently through the same hockey season and the books can be read in any order, so jump in anywhere!

Method Acting
by N.R. Walker
Chase Soria
Every budding actor knows acting is a difficult gig. There will be grueling auditions and punishing rejections. If you’re lucky, there’ll be roles that pay the bills and even roles that won’t.
Roles we don’t believe in.
But that’s what acting is—acting as if we do believe in them.
So when the semester’s production project is announced and I’m cast as one of the leads, I’m ecstatic. A lot of responsibility, a lot of work, but I’m up for it. Even when I find out what my role is and who my partner is. Amos, the brooding James Dean wannabe, is my on-screen boyfriend. Which is great, except for the fact he hates me.
I can do this. It’s just acting.
Nothing more.
Amos Beddington
The 90s are back, apparently. 90210 and Friends, but with a reality TV spin, which means cameras following us around as if they’re capturing the everyday lives of Franklin U students.
Me, but not me.
Me, with no more than a character description, no script or screenplay. Method acting, being the character 24/7, not just when the cameras are rolling. With a campus boyfriend.
Method acting is immersive and intense, and it can be confusing if the lines begin to blur. I mean, I’ve dreamed of being with the irritatingly gorgeous and annoyingly popular Chase Soria, and now I have to be his on-screen boyfriend?
I’m a good actor, sure. But how can I be convincing when I’m not sure I can even convince myself?

Father Figure
by Raquel Riley
Scorching summer nights and tropical beaches, steel drums and a luxurious mini yacht… it’s the perfect setting for an indecent proposal… to claim his ex’s son’s first time.
Nicholas
It was only supposed to be one night… and I meant it when I made the deal with my dad’s ex-boyfriend. If I went to college, he would let me tag along Caribbean island hopping on his charter boat for the summer. Cass stuck to his end of the bargain, but not me—I asked for extra terms. One night: me, him and nothing between us, showing me what it felt like to be loved by a man.
Cassidy
One night, my ass. If I’d known what I was in for before I’d made the deal… I still would’ve done it. Except now I couldn’t stop thinking about him, desiring him, needing him—in my arms, beneath me, by my side. I was a fool for thinking we had a future together, but when I thought about spending the rest of my life with someone, Nicky’s face was the only one I could imagine.
Felix
by Emmy Sanders
What more could an exhibitionist want than a willing voyeur right next door?
Emil
I like being watched. I’m not ashamed of it, nor my job at Elite 8 Studios where fans know me as Felix. But when my newest costar turns out to be the very same neighbor I’ve been giving private shows to through the window, I’m thrown for a loop.
Christian is gorgeous—a toppy femboy with a love of skirts and belly chains. He’s every bit the Vixen his moniker would suggest. Yet, for whatever reason, he seems enamored with me. We’re quickly thrown together to pilot a series of live stream videos, and our chemistry is off the charts.
But when Christian starts coming over, cuddling with me on the couch and bringing food for my hermit crab, I know I’m in trouble.
Christian may be my coworker, but before that, he was my voyeur. And my friend. He knows me in a way so few others do, but intimacy for me is complicated.
Can I trust Christian with my heart? Or is mixing business, pleasure, and love bound to blow up in my face?

Nix Monroe has a plan.
Infiltrate the Enigma app and lure out whoever his cousin was last speaking with before everything went to shit. Nix won’t stop until he finds answers, even if that means transferring to a different university and getting entangled with the infamous Demons of Foxglove Grove.
Lake, West, and Yejun. Three of the most powerful men on the entire planet, and also the deadliest. When Nix finds himself on their radar, he thinks maybe it’s not all bad, and he can twist the situation to his advantage. It’s not long, however, before he discovers the Demons have their own objective.
Someone is after them, and they want to use Nix to lure out whoever that may be. Forced to pretend to be their new mutual plaything, Nix struggles to search for clues about his cousin and maintain personal boundaries between himself and the guys. They might take his body, but he refuses to give them any other part of himself, especially since there’s no way of knowing if one of them happens to be the person he’s after.
Lake is next in line for the throne and will do anything to stop those secretly trying to prevent him from taking it. He treats Nix like a possession, something he has a right to take. And potentially break.
West is an up-and-coming boxer who rules the school with boyish charm and iron fists. He doesn’t try to hide who or what he is, not even from Nix, the first of the Demons to bend him to his will, laughing all the while.
Yejun is considered the flirt of the group, the one who’s hooked up with practically everyone on campus. Initially, he’s not interested in playing pretend with Nix, but it isn’t long before he’s changed his tune.
It doesn’t take long before Nix realizes he’s in danger of falling for these monstrous men. He needs a way out, and fast, preferably before any of them realize he’s been using them as well. Nix needs to check their names off the list of suspects so he can move on and find his cousin’s killer.
But what happens when they catch him scheming? Will they help him?
Or destroy him?
