I never questioned who I was. Until him.

Niall
I don’t do complicated. As captain of Michigan U’s hockey team, my focus is on the game, not on the charming transfer student who landed in my apartment and upended my routine. Eli shouldn’t get under my skin, but he does—with his easy smiles, his late-night cooking, and the way he looks at me like I’m something more than just a hockey player.

I kissed him once. I shouldn’t have. But for one reckless moment, I let myself want. Now he’s looking at me like he’s waiting for something—something I don’t know how to give.

Because wanting Eli is dangerous. And letting him in? That might be the biggest risk of all.

Eli
A fresh start—that’s what Michigan U was supposed to be. A clean break from my past, from the toxic relationship that made me forget who I was. I wasn’t looking for complications, but then I met grumpy, brooding, and frustratingly closed-off. He barely speaks to me, yet somehow, I can’t stop thinking about him.

Then he kissed me. And for a moment, I thought maybe—just maybe—there was something real between us. But now he’s acting like it never happened, and I’m stuck wondering if I was just a mistake.

I should let it go. I should move on. But the more I get to know Niall, the more I realize those walls aren’t just for keeping people out—they’re for keeping himself safe. And damn it, I think I want to be the one to break them down.

Fast Break

by Aria Brennan

JT
Moving from a tiny country town to the big city is tough enough. Throw in the fact I’m smack bang in the middle of my senior year and let’s just say it’s been an adjustment. Making the Division 1 basketball team alongside my ultra-popular cousin certainly helps though. As does the fact all the girls seem to be looking my way twice. Sounds pretty good, right?

But here’s the thing. See, there’s also this guy. His name’s Quinn. I’m not sure what it is but there’s something about him and that something means I tend to look at him. Like, all the time. It may have something to do with the way he wears our school uniform that seems to make my mouth go dry.

Quinn is everything I’m not – super intelligent, effortlessly classy and on his way to law school. We have nothing in common, and I’m pretty sure he’s allergic to sport. Besides, he’s never even noticed me.

But then we’re paired up for a science project and I suddenly have his full attention. And his attention? Let’s just say it’s sending me places I have been trying really hard not to go.

I can’t be myself at home. But Quinn gives me a safe place to let me see who I really am. And he makes me want more. Makes me want him. Makes me want to risk everything. I want him to be mine – but am I ready for that?

Hot Neighbor Summer

by Casey Cox

Bailey
As if causing a scene on my front lawn with my lying, cheating scumbag of an ex wasn't bad enough, having to be rescued by my two giant, muscled, gorgeous neighbors makes it even more humiliating.

But I feel safe in their arms. Safer than I've ever felt. They seem like a happy couple and are probably just pitying the fool next door who gave his heart to the wrong person. Why would they need anyone else?

Duke
Racing over to help Bailey was a no-brainer. We'd always assist someone in need. But Bailey's not just anyone. He ignited something in Stellan and me the day we moved in next door.

Bailey was in a relationship then, and therefore strictly off-limits. But he's single now. Stellan is eager for us to pursue something with Bailey, but is Bailey even ready?

Stellan
There's something about Bailey that unlocks a part of me that desperately wants to care and protect someone. Duke is my best friend and soulmate, but as much as I love him, he doesn't need me in that way. And I know he has the same needs I have, the same desire to lavish love on someone that I do.

We realized years ago that a third person would make what we have truly perfect, the missing piece to our puzzle. Could Bailey be the one we've been waiting for all this time?

May

by Nicole Pyland

Logan Luna has made a lot of mistakes in her life stemming from a gambling addiction. She’s been sublimating in other ways recently but doesn’t want to do that any longer. When she gets a job at a new bar in the city, she hopes it’s the start of something big, something that might help take her mind off of everything wrong with her life.

Rory Winter helps her friend with her new bar whenever she can, which is probably more often than she should because she has a full-time job and is also in grad school. She’s doing that because she doesn’t like to let people down, but there’s another reason why she spends all of her free time at the bar: a new, older, and very attractive bartender works there.

Rory doesn’t think Logan will ever look her way because Logan is out, gorgeous, and can have any woman she wants, while Rory is shy, studious, and isn’t out to everyone in her life yet.

Logan feels like she can be herself with Rory in a way she’s never felt before, and she can’t seem to stop talking to the younger woman whenever she stops by the bar.

They both have some things to work through, but for the first time, Rory can see herself falling in love and being more fully herself, and Logan begins to think about how good her life could be for the first time in a long time.

The Legend Next Door

by Jesse H Reign

I didn’t think hockey was the game for me…now I’m obsessed.

My new neighbor, Ben Stirling, is a beautiful, famous ex-player. A living NHL legend. A single dad with sad eyes and a smile I feel in my knees.

I’ve never met anyone like him. He’s what would you’d get if you squeezed masculinity through a sieve. He’s the grit. The pulp. The hard stuff that leaves a sweet taste in your mouth. On top of that, he’s kind and funny, and did I mention he’s the most beautiful man I’ve ever laid eyes on?

Obviously, he’s straight.

And obviously, that’s fine.

It’s not like I’m going to flirt with him. Or fall for him.
